Geyser is moving away from being an open crowdfunding platform for creators and projects. Our focus is now Circular Grants: locally stewarded grants that help entrepreneurs and small businesses in trusted Bitcoin circular economies access fair capital.

What is a Circular Grant?

A Circular Grant gives an approved local business capital without creating debt. If and when the recipient is able, they may voluntarily forward money into their community’s Community Fund so it can support another entrepreneur. Forwarding is a pledge, not a repayment obligation. There is no balance to collect, no required schedule, no interest and no penalty if the recipient cannot contribute.

Who can create a Circular Grant?

Circular Grants are not open for self-service creation. Only an approved Field Partner can work with Geyser to propose a beneficiary and prepare a Circular Grant campaign. Geyser reviews the Field Partner, the beneficiary, the intended use of funds and the required safeguards before approving a campaign. Being identified as a potential Field Partner—or submitting an application—is only the first step. Full status follows screening, an interview, verification, approval and onboarding. Approval as a Field Partner does not guarantee that a grant will be funded.

Why Field Partners?

Field Partners are trusted local operators who understand their communities. They:
  • identify and verify credible local entrepreneurs;
  • help approved beneficiaries prepare their campaigns;
  • provide local support and responsible reporting;
  • protect beneficiary consent, safety and reputation; and
  • help steward capital for future entrepreneurs.

Why are we scaling slowly?

This is a deliberate, partner-led programme—not an open marketplace. We are expanding gradually according to:
  • credible local demand;
  • available grant and operating funding;
  • Field Partner capacity;
  • Geyser’s ability to verify and support each campaign; and
  • evidence that safeguards and the Circular Grant model are working as intended.
This means availability will remain limited while the programme develops.
