Choose Funding Mechanism

Launch an ongoing Fundraiser or an All-or-Nothing Campaign

Choose how you want to raise funds: through Fundraisers (take-it-all) or Campaigns (all-or-nothing).

Fundraisers: Take It All

Best for: ongoing projects, flexible goals, community support, donations, experiments.

Take It All fundraisers are the simplest and most flexible way to collect contributions on Geyser.

How it works

  • You can set a goal — but it’s informational, not binding.

  • You receive donations and sell products.

  • You collect every sat you raise, regardless of whether you reach your target.

  • Funds go directly to you as contributions come in.

  • There is no time limit.

  • Funders are supporting you because they believe in your work, or they want to buy a product that already exists - not because of a specific deliverable tied to a minimum budget.

When to choose Take It All

Take It All is perfect when:

  • You are going to work on the project regardless of how much you raise.

  • Your product is already built and you're selling it out as a pre-order.

  • Your project doesn’t require a strict minimum budget to get started.

  • You’re raising ongoing support (for example: education, open source work, community building, recurring expenses, streaming, events).

  • You want complete flexibility and no pressure to hit a specific threshold.

  • You want your contributors to support you continuously.

Think of Take It All as: Flexible, community-powered, ongoing fundraising.

Campaigns: All-or-Nothing

Best for: big ideas, production costs, hardware, books, board games, translations, one-time projects that cannot happen without that minimum donation.

Campaigns use Geyser’s new All-or-Nothing (AON) funding system. This mechanism gives creators the ability to raise the exact amount they need — safely, trustlessly, and without putting contributors at risk.

How it works

  • You set:

    • a funding goal, and

    • a duration (1 to 60 days).

  • Contributions are locked in a smart contract until the campaign ends.

  • If your goal is reached: you claim all the funds.

  • If your goal is not reached: contributors can claim a full refund.

Why choose All-or-Nothing

All-or-Nothing is ideal when:

  • You need a minimum viable budget to deliver on your promise.

  • You’re launching a product that requires manufacturing, printing, tooling, or bulk ordering.

  • You’re tackling something ambitious and don’t want to be stuck in the “half-funded” limbo.

  • You want to give supporters confidence that their funds are protected.

Think of All-or-Nothing as: Go big, aim high, and only move forward if you have everything you need.

Which One Should You Choose?

Use Fundraisers (Take It All) when…

  • you’re raising ongoing support

  • any amount helps

  • you want simplicity and flexibility

Use Campaigns (All-or-Nothing) when…

  • you need a guaranteed budget

  • you’re launching something ambitious

  • you want contributor protection built in

Both mechanisms empower creators — they just solve different problems. Take It All fuels ongoing missions. All-or-Nothing makes big, bold projects possible.
