# Bitcoin Arena

Bitcoin Arena is transforming a sports gym in Roatan into a community space where kids can play, train, learn, and get inspired by Bitcoin.

Led by Bitcoin Roatan, the project goes beyond renovating a physical venue. It is about creating a positive local impact through sport, education, community, and Bitcoin adoption. By combining a clear humanitarian mission with a strong Bitcoin-native crowdfunding campaign, Bitcoin Arena turned a local renovation effort into a broader movement supported by the global Bitcoin community.

Through Geyser, the team was able to integrate crowdfunding, outreach, marketing, and sponsor activation in one campaign. The all-or-nothing model added urgency and motivation, while Geyser’s network helped bring new supporters, sponsors, and visibility to the project.

### **What Made the Project Successful**

Positive impact narrative: The campaign was built around a clear and emotionally powerful mission: renovating a sports gym for Roatan kids and turning it into a space for sport, inspiration, Bitcoin education, and community growth.

Strong campaign strategy: Through the Geyser Partnership, the team shaped the campaign around impact, trust, and urgency, helping funders understand why the project mattered beyond the renovation itself.

Sponsor activation: Geyser helped bring additional funders and sponsors through its network, expanding the campaign beyond traditional fundraising channels.

All-or-nothing momentum: The protocol-based all-or-nothing structure motivated the team and supporters to push toward the goal, creating urgency and collective accountability.

Cross-platform content: Campaign content was amplified across X, Instagram, and Nostr, helping the project reach Bitcoiners across multiple communities and turning progress into visibility.

Integrated crowdfunding and marketing: Geyser gave the team a single platform to combine donations, outreach, storytelling, and campaign updates, making it easier to organize and grow the fundraising effort.

### Testimonial

### Creator Tip 💡

“Lead with impact. When people understand who the project helps, why it matters, and how their sats create real-world change, crowdfunding becomes more than fundraising - it becomes community building.”

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guide.geyser.fund/geyser-docs/your-project-guides/success-stories/bitcoin-arena.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
