Impact Funds
Impact Funds move bitcoin from passive holding into active adoption by pooling capital and distributing it continuously to initiatives that are building the future of Bitcoin.
Impact Funds are how Geyser channels capital into the parts of the Bitcoin ecosystem that are actively driving adoption.
Rather than one-off grants or isolated donations, an Impact Fund pools bitcoin from sponsors and community contributors into a dedicated fund focused on a specific theme or region. That capital is then distributed on a recurring basis to initiatives that are building real, measurable adoption on the ground.
The model is simple but powerful: aggregate capital, curate initiatives, and support sustained execution.
The Four Live Impact Funds

There are currently four live Impact Funds on Geyser, each focused on a distinct area of adoption.
Latin America Impact Fund
The Latin America Impact Fund supports initiatives across Latin America that further Bitcoin adoption, awareness, and education. Some of the most meaningful Bitcoin adoption stories are emerging from this region, where communities are building practical, grassroots solutions. This fund exists to strengthen and accelerate those efforts.
Culture Impact Fund
The Culture Impact Fund supports initiatives that advance Bitcoin adoption through culture. Culture shapes perception before policy or technology does. By supporting artists, creatives, and cultural movements, this fund helps shift how people understand and emotionally connect with Bitcoin.
Education Impact Fund
The Education Impact Fund supports initiatives that further Bitcoin adoption through education. Adoption does not happen without understanding. This fund backs workshops, curriculum development, educational content, and structured learning programs that equip individuals and communities with foundational knowledge.
Circular Economies Impact Fund
The Circular Economies Impact Fund supports initiatives that help build and strengthen circular Bitcoin economies. These are community-driven ecosystems where bitcoin is earned, spent, and circulated locally. By reinforcing these systems, the fund supports long-term, sustainable adoption.
It is important to note that there is currently no dedicated open-source development Impact Fund live. The active funds are focused on region, culture, education, and circular economies.
How Impact Funds Work
Impact Funds begin with pooled capital. Sponsors and community members contribute bitcoin to a specific fund aligned with their interests.
Builders and community leaders then apply to the fund that matches their initiative. Applications are reviewed for alignment, feasibility, and clear impact on Bitcoin adoption.
Selected initiatives receive recurring distributions. The focus is not short-term visibility or one-time support, but sustained funding that allows meaningful execution over time.
Who Impact Funds Are For
For Builders and Community Leaders
Impact Funds are for individuals and teams who are actively building Bitcoin adoption within one of the live themes.
If you are leading a regional initiative in Latin America, creating educational programs, shaping cultural narratives, or strengthening a circular economy, you can apply to the fund that aligns with your work. The model is designed to support initiatives with real-world impact and a clear path to execution.
For Sponsors
Impact Funds are also for sponsors who want to support Bitcoin adoption in a structured and strategic way.
Rather than selecting projects individually, sponsors contribute to a curated fund that allocates capital based on defined impact criteria. This creates alignment, consistency, and long-term contribution to the ecosystem.
How to Apply
If you are building something aligned with one of the live Impact Funds, visit the Impact Funds page on Geyser, explore the fund that matches your initiative, and submit your application.
Applications are reviewed based on alignment with the fund’s mission and the clarity of your impact and execution plan.
